We have a number of pins from Art of the Wood that frequently elicit admiring comments when visiting faires around the country. They’ve served as beautiful conversation starters. Art of the Wood also made a customized mug for my daughter, with all of her fandom interests captured on panels of the mug. Beside being wonderfully unique, it also provokes appreciative comments and inquiries where we found such a cool mug.
I love my pins, usually get a new one (at least one) yearly. Tons of fun designs and the new colored ones are fun too.
I have owned pieces from Art of the Wood for decades. They are amazing works of art. The owner and booth staff are warm, welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They can do custom work (my husband commissioned our 10-year anniversary plaque from them), and are all-around the best wood shop for pins, plaques, etc., that I’ve ever encountered. And now I must be off to discover their new designs….
Custom Work, Step-by-Step
1. Order Placement – Customer submits design details, quantity, and preferences.
2. Quote & Payment – We provide a price quote and invoice. Payment is required before production begins.
3. Design & Approval – We create or refine the design and send a proof for approval.
4. Production – Wood is cut, engraved, colored, and finished as requested.
5. Quality Check & Assembly – Items are inspected, numbered (if chosen), and hardware is attached.
6. Packaging & Shipping – Items are securely packed and shipped with tracking.
7. Delivery & Follow-Up – The customer receives their order and confirmation email, then completes a product review.
